The agreement between you and Norelle when you buy and send messages.

What this service is
Norelle is a paid messaging service. You choose a character from our catalogue and exchange written messages with them. Every character is fictional. The name, personality and history of a character are invented and do not describe a real person.
Replies are written by people working for us, sometimes with the assistance of software that drafts suggested text. A reply you receive may have been written by a person, drafted by software and edited by a person, or sent as drafted. We do not identify which is which on any individual message.
The service is conversation only. We do not arrange, offer or facilitate meetings, calls, video, or any contact outside the messages in this application.
Age requirement
You must be at least 18 years old to hold an account. By registering you confirm that you are.
Some characters are marked as explicit. Before you begin an explicit conversation you are asked to confirm your age, and that confirmation is recorded against your account.
We may terminate any account we believe belongs to a person under 18, without notice.
Accounts and email confirmation
You register with an email address and a password. You are responsible for keeping your password secret and for activity that happens under your account.
You must confirm your email address before you can use the free messages described below. One person may hold one account. Registering additional accounts to obtain more free messages is a breach of these terms.
Messages, purchases and expiry
The service is priced per message you send. Messages are bought in packages, and the price of each package is shown before you pay:
- 25 messages for $4.99
- 50 messages for $9.99
- 120 messages for $23.49
- 275 messages for $52.99
- 500 messages for $94.99
How your balance is used
New accounts receive 5 free messages with each character, up to 15 free messages in total across the whole account. Free messages are available only after you confirm your email address. They are a promotional allowance, they are not purchased, and they have no cash value.
Once your free allowance with a character is used, sending a message to that character draws on your purchased balance. Purchased messages are used oldest first.
Purchased messages expire 365 days after the date of purchase. Expired messages are not refundable and cannot be reinstated. Your remaining balance and its expiry are shown in your account.
A message is counted as used when you send it. We do not guarantee that any particular message will receive a reply, how quickly a reply will arrive, or that a conversation will continue indefinitely.
Ending your account
You may stop using the service at any time.
We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, if we are required to, or if we discontinue the service. Where we terminate an account we refund unused purchased messages as described in the Refund Policy.
When an account is terminated, access to past conversations ends.
Changes
We may change these terms, our prices, our catalogue and the features of the service. Where a change materially affects messages you have already bought, the terms in force when you bought them continue to apply to that purchase.
